Jay Darkside is an up and coming DJ who has had tracks released for breakbeat labels Unstable Label and Sinister Recordings. Judge Jules liked "Give It Up" so much that he played it 4 weeks running on Radio 1 and led to Jay remixing the Judge's own release "Without Love" for Maelstrom Recordings.
Following on from where my 91-93 Hardcore mix left off this mix features my favourite Jungle tunes from what I deem to be the golden era of Jungle 1993 - 1996.
76 tracks/ samples have been used in the mix which takes you from the melodic tones of LTJ Bukem and Roni Size through to the more bass lead sounds of Shy FX and Urban Takeover via luminaries such as DJ Hype, Foul Play, X Project and Origin Unknown.
So dig out your Reebok classics, baggy jeans, Dosse Posse or Dready long sleeve tee together with your MA2 jacket and prepare to go back, deep into the Jungle....
