i did once actually leave a rave after hearing Heart of Gold it was a Dream FM reunion i think? I was getting tired anyway as I'd been out the night before too. But then that fucking song seemed like a perfect cue to leave

23.00 is banging! Love a bit of hardcore techno, would much prefer that to Douglas 'rainbow in the sky' happy hardcore any day of the week. That's why I loved going to the bangface nights in London, you could go from listening to an acid set to oldskool to 200bpm madness. Amazing!!! Would love to see producer or Scorpio on the line up doing a techno drone set in the main room but doubt The Bournemouth crowd would get it.

Haha cheers Rich :D Yeah to be fair Dougal probably gets the biggest reaction there, Fusion was traditionally a Happy Hardcore rave so I can understand that, plus Rich is right Ratty cleared the floor, it wasn't that he was playing bad tunes (Drummer of Doom, Mayday Mayday, New Direction etc) but it just seemed a little lethargic after two hours of Happy Hardcore at a much faster tempo, caused the energy in the room to drop and people went to explore and see what else was happening. I think that's always going to be a problem when you play different styles in a multi arena event, and maybe why there's a lack of 92-3 era. Krome and Time smashed their set though and were playing the same kind era as Ratty, so who knows.
